About Gunnison River Fly Shop

Oscar Marks (left) and John Arnold (right) formed the partnership that became Headhunters in 2007. These two veteran Missouri River gudies had a vision to create a different kind of destination fly shop. Years ago, destination shops carried flies, leaders, tippet, and not much else. Anglers went there to get local information. That's what you'll find at Headhunters. Nothing but the stuff you need; the best fly selection, great guides, excellent customer service, and tons of information. It's all about catching fish for us, and we're pretty sure that your goal is the same.

Information and education are the main reasons you enter a fly shop, and at Headhunters you'll find a staff whose purpose is to help you become a more successful angler. Our entire staff fishes daily. They know what works. Mark and John have years of guiding and retail experience, as well as the desire to help educate their customers. We're the only outfitter owned and operated fly shop on the Missouri River. We believe that it makes all the difference.
